Can't read because I'm keeping house

When I was younger I could easily spend an entire weekend, Saturday and Sunday, reading. No longer possible because I can not ignore the dishes nor can I just forget the laundry; yet, I am so sorry to not be reading as much as I used to read. I set goals for books to read, I buy additional books to read, and I join a book group and yet making myself read is some sort of chore. Darn. Must think about this because I think there must be a better way.
