Monday, Memorial Day

Remembering all the sacrifices so many people have made to support so many wars.  Wow!

Lives are changed forever when a loved person dies in war.  Children suffer for the loss of their Mother or Father, too soon, before the children are finished learning from their parents.

Families are completely different when a loved member comes home with a life changing injury - lost legs, arms; bruised brains; broken hearts.  The individual is changed and the family adjusts to a new member.  Some families are not able to adjust, some become broken and the pain is multiplied.

Then, there are some good results, too.  I appreciate the media when stories are told of returning veterans who find ways to turn their experience into something of value, and contribution.  I liked hearing about a veteran who took his experiences in war, and recruited other veterans, and began to be helping in natural disaster areas.   Those guys know how to rally around a really big clean up job.
